The Goal
My aim is to personalise my teaching methods for each individual in a way that resonates with them. This was the reason I decided to become a tutor.
I believe one of the reasons why students don't reach their full potential is because they're not always taught in the best way for them to learn. Lessons in a classroom is a great way to learn, especially to solidify your understanding, however learning in a personalised setting has a higher likelihood of retaining the knowledge gained.
One-to-one attention is the best way to understand what each student needs. I do my best to find ways of teaching from all angles to ensure my students reach the level of understanding which allows them to achieve their target grade and beyond! On the other hand, teaching students in a group allows students (myself included!) to strengthen their knowledge by having the chance to hear the way other students approach the same problem. This keeps me constantly learning with them, making me a better tutor and my students benefiting more from this.
